2.00 p.m. onwards -Volley Ball on the Village Court
2.00 p.m. Ukelele Workshop with Annie and Harry Houseago –
2.30 p.m. Born 2 Dance. Hip Hop Dance Team – you will be able to join in too!
3.00 p.m. Guitar Workshop with Pascal Savy from ‘The Artists’
3.30 p.m. Tin Pan Annie Band – entertainment for our younger ones
4.00 p.m. Drum Workshop with Jordan Vickery from ‘The Average Blues Band’
2.00 – 5.00 p.m. Graffiti Art. Chase will be in this area demonstrating Open Rap and a MC workshop.
2.00 – 5.00 p.m. Tee Shirt Painting
2.00 – Late - All day BBQ
5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m Live Music from Devons Young Musicians, solos, duo, bands with full supporting sound system. MC Chase !
The Line up will be announced on the day as we do not have exact numbers as yet. This will also guarantee that everyone will have the opportunity of enjoying the day and when the Live performers take to the stage there will be a full supporting audience!
Musicians wantedPosted by jennie Wed, March 17, 2010 17:41:43Musical Youth are looking for young musicians (under 16 years old) who would like to perform live on stage as part of the North Devon Festival. We are providing full P.A. system, drum kit, lights and projections. The whole event will be filmed by a crew from seize the moment and the event will be available for you to download free after the event from www.watchronda.tv
Any young musicians with an eagerness to perform and a passion for music can apply for a spot (from one song to fifteen minutes), Any Genre of Music is fine by us, and you can be a self-contained solo act or band. Depending on demand we plan to have live musicians on stage from 5p.m to 9p.m.

Beach Volleyball Competition organised and run by Academy of Beach Sport (based in Croyde). The beach volleyball organization team (7 teenagers going through their instructors’ course and their adult instructor) will be organizing the event and if anyone is interested in taking part please contact musicalyouth5@btinternet.com
T-Shirt Painting – run by Seize-the-Moment. Any age can take part but there will be a contribution required of £1.50 - £2.50, depending on size, to cover T shirt and inks. Numbers are limited, so please book in advance to ensure a place. Email musicalyouth5@btinternet.com
Graffiti Workshop – run by Seize-the-Moment and will be available for 13yrs and over. Numbers will be limited so please either pre-book now by emailing musicalyouth5@btinternet.com or contact Jane Elliott on the day.
Music Demos from experienced musicians, it is hoped to have two work shops, drums and guitar for a period of 1 hour. If you are interested in joining a workshop please email musicalyouth5@btinternet.com prior to the day. So we can estimate how many sessions will be required.
Ukulele Workshops Come and learn to play a cool song from scratch on the ukulele. 2 half hour workshops, with Harry and Annie from Tin Pan Annie Music. Suitable for complete beginners of any age. We supply the ukulele’s for use in the workshop (or to buy afterwards if you are hooked) or bring your own. Maximum 10 enthusiasts per session. Pre booking essential. Mini shows for the under 5’s – You are never too young to rock! Live music shows for music mad mini people and their grown ups (and older siblings too). Come and boogie away to some sessions specially aimed at the under 5’s by Tin Pan Annie and Harry from Tin Pan Annie Music, Londons biggest live music provider for pre-schoolers and the house band at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Favourites from The Wheels on the Bus to The Jungle Book, like you have never heard them before. 2 half hour shows in the afternoon. Times to be confirmed, please email musicalyouth5@btinternet.com
BORN2DANCE – Born2Dance is an urban street dancing academy, including Hip Hop the authentic way. Born2Dance is run and choreographed by Claire Harris, founder and main choreographer. Claire has been teaching “Street Dance” for over 7 years, teaching all over North Devon in Schools, Youth Clubs and running her own successful dance classes at the fitness factory Barnstaple.
Born2Dance is going from strength to strength producing excellent dancers that are now performing at a high standard. With Claire trained also as a top gymnast Born2Dance can offer physically demanding and acrobatic dance, therefore producing imaginative and creative dance routines.
Claire along with her team of dancers will be performing at Musical Youth V demonstrating their skills and hopefully an opportunity will be given to the audience to participate.
BARBECUE – All day there will be delicious barby grub and soft drinks available to buy throughout the event, run by Isabelle Bromham and Chris Burrows, who also runs Croyde youth group.
Seize-the-Moment will be bringing a film/VJ crew of young film makers to add projections to the evening gig and to film the whole event in HD to turn it into a fun DVD which will be available as a free download on www.watchronda.tv. Musical Youth is a fabulous event showcasing the younger up-and-coming musicians of North Devon. We aim to encourage bands and solo acts (maximum age limit 16 years) to perform live on stage in front of friends, family and music-lovers as part of The North Devon Festival.
Throughout the afternoon there will be various family-friendly events, followed by live music from late afternoon by the young bands.
